When him returns to Paris, Louis XV said to him that seems to have less 25 years and Richelieu replied that he had found in red wine of Lafite something comparable to the ambrosia of the gods of Olympus. Offer a few bottles the king, excited with them, makes him his favorite wine and soon in the whole court.

Arrives in 1784 at the hands of Pierre de Pichard, president of the parliament of Bordeaux, who died on the guillotine on 30 June 1794.
